There is no question that if you live in a flood zone, flood insurance is a must. But even if your location is
not at risk, flood insurance is still important.

Why? Because storms can happen almost anywhere, and because there are different kinds of flooding that stem from a variety of sources. There are unpredicted hurricanes… unanticipated seasonal flooding from melting snow…and flooding resulting from damage inside of your house, for example a malfunctioning sump pump or faulty plumbing.
